This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be considered, and the process to request one.
1. General Policy
- Donations made to Optasia Foundation are treated as voluntary contributions and are generally non-refundable.
- Refunds may only be processed in specific situations such as:
- Duplicate donations
- Technical errors in transaction processing
- Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions reported in good faith
2. Requesting a Refund
To request a refund, please write to us within 7 days of the transaction at:

- Transaction ID / payment reference number
- Date of transaction

- Reason for refund request
3. Refund Processing Time
Once verified and approved, refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 7–10 working days. The amount will be returned using the original mode of payment.
We reserve the right to decline refund requests that:
- Are submitted beyond the 7-day window
- Lack sufficient transaction information
- Are suspected to be fraudulent or abusive in nature
4. 80G / Tax Benefits Disclaimer
If a refund is issued, and a donation receipt (e.g., for 80G) has already been generated, the donor must return or void that receipt. Tax benefits cannot be claimed on refunded donations.
5. Donation Cancellation
In case you wish to cancel a recurring or automated donation, please email us at least 48 hours before the next scheduled charge.
